Regional Space + Time Downscaling
These data demonstrate a regional space and time downscaling using COMDAST. The original model output (MPI ESM) consisted of monthly means at T81 resolution, and were downscaled to 6-hourly at 0.5 x 0.5 degree resolution. Errors between the original monthly means and downscaled (then aggregated to monthly means) were less than 0.5%.
Regional downscaling was performed serially one half-degree grid cell at a time. Additional R-code and shell scripts for peforming a regional downscaling, in addition to these example data, ara avialable through our repo.
