Global CO2 Plumes from the Biosphere

The CO2 tracer originating from the land surface is shown as a colored cloud above the continents. This tracer is the product of the net ecosystem exchange (NEE) between the biosphere and the atmosphere, and it is advected in the atmosphere by the Community Climate System Model Verison 3 (CCSM3).
