Hi Jim and Forrest,

We recently found out that the data we sent to you two years ago for
use in your model-data intercomparison activity has some problems.

One of our users discovered problems with the TNPP data for Class
A site tropical forest biomes. For a description of the problem
and what we've done to correct it are in the attached html file.

The attached csv file has the correct values. Please remove the
old file / data and use the new file.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. We understand
that you have a paper in press that uses these data. Sorry about
this.

I am sending this note to you before we formally make the change
on our Web site, because you have a paper in press. When we place
the revision on our Web site, we will update the data set citation
and DOI.

Thanks Bob

On Jan 26, 2009, I moved the original data.81 file to data.81.rev0.bad and
data.81.nc to data.81.rev0.bad.nc. Then I copied the file provided by the
ORNL DAAC, called EMDI_ClassA_NPP_81_R1.csv, to data.81 and re-generated
data.81.nc using the NCL script clamp/npp/01.read_ascii_81.ncl

11 go to the directory: LBA_products.
12 I left the biomass map in Geotiff and also the veg class map.
13 Biomass map has 11 classes:
    14 1: 0-25 Mg/ha

27 Let me know if you need more information.
28 We got Jim Tiucker excited about Nicole's abstract. He is going to give us 2003-2005 data hot from his Goddard Oven.

    38 Hi Sassan,
    39
    40
41 I'm writing to ask if I could please have a copy of your Amazon biomass dataset. Can I ftp it from JPL? - or should I set up an account for you on one of my computers here to transfer it? I'd like to use it to compare with global model outputs from NCAR.
    42
    43
44 Also, I like the idea of comparing the NDVI with the freeze thaw. It sounds like the trends that Nicole described in her abstract are getting stronger!

    50 Hi Nicole,
51 Sorry for this delay. I was rushing from one meeting to another yesterday. Jim and I talked about the abstract and he agreed to be included was happy to contribute.
52 He is going to give us the newly processed GIMMS NDVI data including 2005 for our study.
53 He is copied on this email.
    54 cheers

    61 Hi Sassan-
62 Sorry to bother you again, do you have Jim Tucker's e-mail address?
    63 I
64 just want to give him a heads up that I'll add him to our poster.
    65 Thanks
